That was a classic science fiction short story. I just re-read it about a month ago... or is it that I WILL re-read it in about a month? Seriously, the story was set in a future Russia, where everyone else was "inventing" things like toaster levers and drawer pulls, and this one real inventor invents a "useless" camera that sees into the future. He sees his mate, meets her, and destroys the camera.
