Is there any evidence that Facebook has saved even one life, through matching organ donors?

The number of lives that have been lost due to Facebook is easy to count. Every single one of them gets splashed across the headlines of the news media and beaten to death in forums like this. Just google them.

When you die, do you think anybody is searching your Facebook account to see if you have signed up as an organ donor? And would that even constitute legal consent to have an organ donated? And if you check the organ donation box on your facebook account, and then die, how does the transplant hospital know you have died, and then actually locate you before the organ expires?

Every drivers license has a check box for organ donor. When you die, do you think the transplant hospital is going to check your Facebook account before they look at your drivers license, to see if you are a donor?

I'm calling BS on this one. A shameless effort by Facebook to enhance their public image, that will have absolutely zero positive effect.
