Will there be taxes?

Considering the changes for the worse I have seen in the past half century or so, my answer is that once my job here is done, ya better NOT bring me back. If you do I will be sorely ticked off.

I would consider it although my goal is to make it another decade then with advancements in biology, genetics, and information technology my hope is I will live forever so I won't need to be frozen. Because of this I voted maybe.

I think that it costs around $30K right now if you do it with the Cryonics Institute. With Alcor, I think it currently costs around $80K for your head alone, and around $200K for your whole body.

Ya, right now I don't think so. It's either pay for my cryogenics experience or remodel the kitchen and offload my daughters at their weddings.

Yes. When some tyrant in the future figures out a way to bring people back to life, and keep them alive for thousands of years, chained together as starved slave labor, I want to be there. Wait a minute -- you mean I might not get to be the tyrant?

Dictatorships and tyrannies will become a thing of the past in the next century or two.

Do you think that the cryogenics company would admit to a power cut that caused partial thawing or do you think that they would keep quiet and continue taking the money? I voted No.

If this question is addressed to me, I'm not sure about initially, but eventually this information would leak out to the public.

You wanna bet a thousand years of life at hard labor on that?

Every system ever devised tends to flow gradually toward oligarchy. In your future, exactly how are laws and administrative procedures going to be made, and how will you ensure that there will never be a movement against the status quo, and would you want to live in a time when dissent is impossible?

It will never be possible for human iife to exist without two things: An administrative system, and people who are discontent that the administrative system does not serve their needs. Either or both of those leaves the door open for oppression.
