I have a nephew who has JAVA skills...I understand that they are "intermediate" (swing?, database, regex?, etc. is what I recall if that helps) and he will be graduating in a year. I'd like to provide some guidance on what he might look at for employment. I figure the job sites like Dice, Monster can be a start, plus there are resources at school, and word of mouth / networking.

Anything else?

And what should his income expectation be? My guess is 30-40K, but not sure. No doubt it progresses quickly from there, if he proves himself.

Also, fyi...in case anyone knows specifically about the DFW area, that is where he would be located.
