I wonder if there would be enough interest in DIY home automation here to add it as a forum? I am planning to give it a shot with a ZWave hub and some ZWave devices and would love to have a place (here) to discuss same and ask questions (and hopefully give some answers).

Well I was considering the Veralite Home Controller as a hub. The first device I want to acquire is a moisture/temperature sensor that I can put near the hot water heater. The Fortrez Water & Temperature Sensor seems to be one option.

If you have a water softener put one there, too. This house had a water softener leak before we bought.
