I was curious to see how others have liked this setup. I guess I would give it mixed reviews. I've got my Pi all set up with the OSMC operating system installed and I seem to be able to watch just about any movie or TV show that I want to watch via Exodus, including hundreds of old movies that are not on Netflix, Amazon or Hulu. I do have several complaints about the system though.
1) I havent been able to find any good sports aps so I'm confined to movies and tv shows. 2) The picture is somewhat grainy. Our TV was a 10 year old plasma and I thought for a long time that that was the issue but we have since replaced it with a new smart TV and although the picture quality is better, it is still not equal to the ultra sharp image we get when we switch over to Netflix or Amazon.
Anyone else have the same issues? Does anyone else know of any sports apps that work? I have tried SportsDevil but have never been able to get it to work.
I run Kodi on a Fire Stick and on a Win 7 Laptop. I have no problems with picture quality in either case. It's your hardware more than likely, not Kodi. Can't help you with sports apps. It's not allowed here and I don't know anyway. Try google.
Search up Platnium builds.. that will get you in the direction..
But your streaming so picture will look blurry at times. Nothing you can do much about it. Anything from kodi is compress and streaming, and it is all base on hardware to make it work right. the PI doesnt have a good gpu built in it, even tho you can use it, not wise to do so.. simple fact of missing GPU.
