I don't really know squat about YTR YouTube Red). It seems to be $9.99/mo, but is there any way to get around that? (I ask because there's a couple of 2017 vids about watching for free somehow...haven't watched them yet.) I want to watch the continuation of where the 80s films The Karate Kid left off so many yrs ago & they're apparently doing it on YTR.

Can I watch from my regular TV which I much prefer to watching from my computer monitor or cell phone? I need to be more comfortable on my sofa in front of my TV.

I'd appreciate any answers to my questions, plus any other info you can give about it. Thanks a lot!

No, you cannot get around paying for it.

You need a Roku or Fire Stick to watch it on your TV.

YouTube is currently offering a 4 month free trial to YTR for new subscribers only.

I think that should be enough time to watch KK.

Thanks. If I'm not mistaken, the FIre stick's cheaper than the Roku, although I don't know much about either of them either.

I'll see if I want to sign up for this.

When I signed up for Google Play Music early on for $7.99 a month I didn’t realize I got youtube red for free with it. I think the same combo is still available for $9.99 a month, which is a reasonable deal if you use streaming audio.

That was one of the best deals around. I never would have gotten Red if it weren't for Play Music.

I have had Red since it first started. Absolutely love it. I watch youtube red more than any other streaming app I have on my Roku. Cheapest entertainment I know of.

I did a free month trial of a Roku a while back & ended up returning the Roku device AND canceling my Netflix membership. I just didn't see any shows I liked nor felt it was worth keeping at the time.

So w/ a Roku, a person has the choice to EITHER pay the monthly fee for Netflix OR just the YouTubeRed (YTR) monthly fee? Either will get me TouTube Red, right?

There are so many options on Roku. You did not give it a fair shake. You bought it, tried Netflix, and took it back? It's WAY more then just Netflix. Go get a damn Roku.
Talk to us (maybe in the appropriate forum *hint* this ain't it)

No, that's not how it works. Netflix and YTR are separate competing services.
You pay for one, or both. or neither.

Looks like they’re going to merge Google Play Music with YouTube Music, hopefully will get grandfathered in with the $7.99 price...
