This is the SCIENCE FORUM, so let us discuss whether the theory of evolution is science or not. Therefore I would ask that we restrict our comments strictly to the true sciences of biology, chemistry, math, physics, and the prove-able sciences.
This is not the Religious Forum, where beliefs systems are bantered about in one liners. Science has depth and is proveable and repeatable and can be trusted, tested and is reliable and worthy to be taught to others as a law, principle, or precept.
Let us therefore, not post one line denials and slurs and snide remarks. Lets talk and discuss EVOLUTION and its scientific claims. Evolutionists never seem to want to discuss or debate evolution on any forum anywhere n cyberspace so lets be true scientists and be bold and brave and allow discussion and debate from a scientific standpoint, only using scientific methods and scientific comments and posts.
We should therefore keep our hopes and faith and religion out of this thread. No evolutionary religion would be allowed, only SCIENCE.
These are some of evolution's claims... So
Is evolution prove-able ?
Is evolution test-able ?
Is evolution possible according to the Laws of Thermodynamics ? (PHYSICS)
Is evolution mathematically or statistically possible ? (MATH)
Is evolution historically valid ? (DATING - AGING SCIENCE)
Does evolution have 'missing Links.. (BIOLOGY)
Did evolution start life itself (EMBRIOLOGY)
What is the basis of evolution ? Whats its driving force ? Is that driving force LOGICAL ?
IE.. Is Evolution a Science and a GIVEN... or is it unscientific and a mere theory ? And yet to be proven.
Is it semantics, or is it explainable ?
Evolutionists use semantics usually, but HEREIN lets allow them the chance to speak up and explain their theory to us, so we can substantiate their claims and see if there is any valdiity to their statements and claims for EVOLUTION. Lets see if they will finally openly discuss and debate the theory of evolution.
They attack with semantics those that oppose them, but lets debate SCIENTIFICALLY without semantic intimidations and slurs, whether or not, EVOULTION is SCIENCE or whether or not EVOLUTION is UNSCIENTIFIC.
The TOPIC is SCIENCE and EVOLUTION. This is evolutionists chance to be heard, and a chance for them to convince us, readers that their theory is SCIENTIFIC. Other theories or explanations can be posted elsewhere HERE IMO, but in this focused thread, lets only talk about EVOLUTION and SCIENCE, Is it scientific or not ?
To be or not to be scientific is the question ? Lets debate this scientifically.

PS) This is NOT a subjective thread but an objective one. Please post accordingly about the objective subject. And please reframe from one line denials, or assertions, try to explain yourself with scientific objective words, directed at EVOLUTION.
Come on evolutionists, please back up some or even one of your claims.
Dont hide behind attacks, we wont hurt you, we just want some answers and explanations.
Defend yourself, or educate us according to your explanations about EVOLUTION. This is your chance, its an open scientific discussion.... post your scientific proofs of your theoretical scientific theory.
I would encourage you, evolutionists to please, step forward, rather than wait before answering the audience of discerners and readers. We literally haven't got all day, let alone a billion years to see some progress, or some answers. By this time after more than a century of searching for proofs and or explanations, you must have come up with something you can share and defend. Dont shy away, we shall go easy on you, and just ask for a few explanations or proofs or something, so you can educate us, or verify your science.
Come to the podium, and compose yourself and your words.... surely you have some already thought out results, conclusions or explanations in an open forum.
Evolution is a theory, that's why it's called the Theory of Evolution. It's testable, but I'm not sure it's provable given that most of the physical evidence involved in the process has been lost in the millenia of time. Certain pieces of it may be provable, and evidence of specific events might both prove parts of it and increase our detailed knowledge of the entire process, but the entire Theory of Evolution is so large and all-encompassing that it's unlikely to ever be 100% proven.
Evolution is absolutely provable, and is necessary in order to comprehend why pesticides and antibiotics fail to work after many years.
If you don't understand evolution, you'd have no business in a career in pharmacology - you'd be left baffled. Well durn. That's the weirdest thing. This antibiotic worked like a charm 30 years ago. Hmm.

That's not evolution, that's adaptability, both genetic and biological. Which is part of the entire theory of evolution, even an important part, but not all of it.

I don't understand what part of evolution that doesn't cover.
The reason why pesticides don't work is that the population of grasshoppers evolves. There will always be a few individuals within a large population who are immune to certain toxins or diseases. Those individuals will live to reproduce, and those who are susceptible to the toxin will die. They will also, in the case of grasshoppers, morph into a population that chooses not to eat a specific plant that has pesticide, and will learn/change behavior to eat those plants where that toxin isn't applied.
Thus, the pesticide you used 20 years ago doesn't work - ya still got a field of grasshoppers.
Also, it may be that a species in close competition with grasshoppers for the same food source, say locusts, (I'm making this up) may not be as susceptible to the toxins, and so now the toxin has wiped out their main competitor the grasshoppers so locusts thrive. Evolution.
In the case of bacteria and antibiotics in humans, it's even worse because now you've got the individuals who may not know what they're doing taking antibiotics incorrectly - that is, they take a couple doses - just enough to weaken the bacteria but not kill it - and thus the bacteria evolves into a "super bug" - stronger and more virulent than the first.
It doesn't cover the entirety of Darwin's theory of Evolution, including the development of new species (Homo Erectus and then Homo Sapiens) due to external demands. There's a reason it's titled a Theory still. It's unproven. And we'll probably never be able to prove it. That doesn't mean it's not a damn good theory though. But unlike many people, I can differentiate between what is theory and what is fact, and I don't mistake theories I want to believe in as fact simply because I want to believe in them.
Incidentally, the OP is specifically talking about Darwin's evolution theory. Not the idea of evolution in a general sense.

How do you know he's talking about humans? There is no where in his OP where he says human evolution, merely evolution.
And there are religious groups that believe God created every creature exactly as they are now, and that dinosaurs didn't exist because they don't exist now. Or something like that. Anyway, they don't believe in any part at all of evolution. At all.
I don't know if you have a prior relationship with the OP, and I'm not talking about the beginning of life, I'm talking about fact that species evolve and morph genetically due to external pressures.

The Theory of Evolution is taught to students as fact and not theory. It is still a theory. It has helped us develop our understanding of genetics and make astounding advances in DNA research. It does follow logic but there is no undeniable proof so scientifically should the theory be taught as being fact when that has not been established.
Science claims humans share nearly 99% DNA as APES so they posit that humans evolved from apes.
But what about humans sharing 97% same DNA as FROGS. Well it is less likely percentage-wise as compared to the percentage that apes but still science would have to consider it. But it is not logical.
And MICE 90%. Where do we draw the line?
