I'm a really big fan of the website.
it explains things without using jargon, and if does it explains simply right away.

My question is how up to date is information? to a beginner that doesn't know what they don't know, is the information on the site the most efficient way of going about learn some of the topics.

Thanks

Always use such sites as a first familiarization source, then look to more authoritative sites and references for supporting info. It's nice to have a place for simple intros and explanations, but they rarely can be... relied upon by themselves.
