Okay but in the link I posted, it actually says in the link that firetrucks have been tested with remotes in real life, and are already on some truck models out there. Why didn't anybody read the link before saying it was far fetched or ridiculous? According to the link, the remote is real.
Is that the main culmination of your movie? If not, then who cares where the remote is located. You are distracting yourself from the plot with silly details that no one will even notice.
Move on. Keep working on the script. It's a short movie and you're working on it for years already...
why do you even need to know where the remote is located in the truck?
its a remote. where on your television is the remote control located?
I read it as wondering where the on-truck, remote-from-the-ladder controls are, as opposed from any controls on the ladder or man bucket are. Such controls are often on a side panel and duplicated somewhere inside the cab. Occasionally they're on a detachable box connected to the truck by an umbilical, so the operator can stand back to see what s/he's doing.
And no, I don't know what color the buttons are or what sequence they need to be pressed in.
Oh okay thanks. I suppose I could just make up where they are located, just wanted to know . Thanks. When you say duplicated somewhere inside the cab, what do you mean by 'duplicated' in this context?

Well I don't see what is so ridiculous about it. In the fire apparatus magazine article I listed, it says that newer models now have remote controls to control the ladder. So I just wanted to know where you would find the remote control since the article doesn't say, and I couldn't find any site that tells you, or anyone else that knows. Why is it so ridiculous, when I got it from an article on newer models?
I understand the word, but it I did not know what the person was referring too. Was the user saying the remote control has a duplicate? What has the duplicate?
