I'm writing a screenplay, and just doing research for it. There is a situation involving a fire truck, where I wanted characters to extend the ladder. I wanted to know where the controls were to extend the ladder, and I came across this article on it:

https://www.fireapparatusmagazine.co...re-trucks.html

I thought that a remote control is even better for the script, because then I can have a character extend the ladder and he can be wherever he wants, and doesn't have to be on top of the truck next to the ladder to do it.

However, inside a fire truck, where would the remote control to extend the ladder be located, if anyone knows? I couldn't find where it would be located. Thanks, if anyone knows.

So you want some random people on the internet to tell you where fire engine manufacturers would locate non-existent remote controls, if they existed?

OK, then.

It is not a good idea to steal a fire engine. We are not going to aid and abet.

Oh it was just for my writing, I don't want to steal one. You wouldn't be able to steal a fire engine with a remote control. It just allows you to control the ladder, and stuff.

I’m sure it also depends on the model. So you need to get that right. Why not call a manufacturer as well as visit a couple of local fire houses?

No, he wants Internet strangers to write his script. Just check on the other bizarre questions he ask...
I never heard of a filmmaker and script writer who has no clue about anything...

The questions also never end. It's "But what about... but what about... but what if... but I heard..." until the other participants all give up.

Well if I haven't been able to get a hold of someone to go over that with me at the fire department, so I thought I would ask on here on the technology forum. I could just make it up for the script then.
