Attached: I could not find a way to set background color 2 to transparent in Paint. Color 2 is white.

Is there any other free software allowing users to create truly transparent photo? I would like to create a transparent favicon with two lines of text (two short words).

Thanks.

You can try Gimp.

Create a .png using transparent background about 500px*500px. Assuming this is for website the favicon.ico file is only one of many files(and sizes) that can be used. There is numerous services on the internet that you can upload that to that will generate the correct sizes, meta tags for the header and a few other files specific to things like phones.

What are you using this for? That won't work for web favicon.ico, the one used most often on browser on tabs and favorites is 32*32, you can squeeze about 4 letters into it on two lines. You could get it into larger sizes.
