My wife just bought the Airpods Pro.

It came with a charging cable. In the picture, the cable end with the "lines" in it goes into the charging case.

Where or what the heck kind of adapter do I need to plug the other end into????

A USB-C charger, unless you pay more and get a USB-B cable that plugs into a more common USB port or charger.

All explained here:

But you can purchase Apple/non-Apple chargers just about anywhere, including Amazon, Walmart, and so on. Also, you can use USB chargers if you like.
