I need a very high quality version of the biometric page of my passport scanned. My printer only supports a maximum of 1200 DPI. I'd need at least 4800 DPI.

I've heard that printers available to the public would not offer this as it's too high. Is this true or not?

There are scanners that have high resolution. Here's an example of a scanner that has 4800 DPI and 6400 DPI optical.

That scanner as remarkably good quality. Im an art Director, I really don't do that much scanning anymore, but this scanner as very good color separation for the price. (to et a great scan, enlarge what you are scanning by 120- 150 percent, then tighten it up in photoshop)
