Posted this at current events and got evicted.


It's not a political question - it's a technical one. Science and Technology. Here I am.


What is the technical reason Facebook/Twitter/Etc cannot censor (and by censor, I mean filter content such that the view point is tilted) content?


Is it because they are or are not public? Is there a tax loophole they're using?



What is the (technical) reason, exactly? I Cannot find it - and there is no "legal/law" forum here, soooo...


Any ideas?

i thought they do censor. e.g.- no porn.

They do censor, and likely much more than just what's mentioned above. This is a touchy subject though for all forums.

This is probably more for the Internet subforum, and would get more discussion there. It's not really a science matter per se.
