My first reaction was "yay!" -- and then my gloomy side kicked in. After all, I've seen a lot of hopeful discoveries turn sour in my six decades.
Questions for greater minds than mine:
After the enzymes "eat" the plastics, would there be a harmful, beneficial, or neutral waste left behind?
Do the enzymes last long after, and develop an appetite for other products that we may not wish to have gobbled up?
