For those who have insights on the rate of innovation as well as Artificial Intelligence, specifically its recent reachability to the consumers in the form of ChatGPT, MidJourney, etc., how do you all think this will affect the rate of innovation?
The reason of course why I pose such a question is that friends and colleagues of mine even, before the AI era, would ask me, "so how long do you think before it's mostly driverless cars on the freeway" or "so how long do you think before the first colony on Mars". Also for the more immediate things, again before the AI era, you would see a flat-screen TV model get released into the market at the beginning of the year, but before 18months go by it's obsolete.
Now, we're well into the AI era, how would the speeds of all the above mentioned innovations and more be affected by AI. Thanks in advance for your participation, comments, etc.
I think the biggest concern is humans being replaced by machines. In order for AI to take over that has to happen. It will certain bring poverty to many and mass profits to others. It will all come down to how greedy we really are because we ourselves will begin eliminating humans from the work force.
The only thing that will stop them is when there isn't enough humans working to buy their products.
