Curious if anyone here is running Folding@Home (http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Main - broken link) from Stanford University?
If some of you fold, does CD have a team? I did a search at Stanford & EOC to see if there was a team but don't see one.
For those of you that don't know what folding is, you install a small program on your computer, enter a user name & team (if you don't it goes to defaults) and your computer will do the rest. It sends the information back to Stanford to try to help find a cure for diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's disease, cystic fibrosis & BSE (Mad Cow disease), you can read more here on their science page.
They've had stuff printed up in magazines about how they're actually getting somewhere.
If CD does not have a team, are any of you interested in starting one if we can get the ok?
I have run Folding @Home before, but I formatted and haven't used it since.
I was part of the Genmay team, I do not believe CD has a team, though it'd be interesting to start one.
I'm actually still folding for one but possibly looking to move my machines off. I have to install it on my computer and if we can make a team here, I'd be glad to throw my processes here when I do.

Same, I have a server I need to do something with, and my PCs are always on anyways... might as well throw those cycles to use huh?
Well, I'm pretty sure I'm leaving my old team.
I have a few things to do, then will see about speaking to an admin about getting a team going. Maybe once we do people will jump on.
It was quiet at my old team too at 1st, but I was able to help change that.
Anyway, 3+ PCs will be devoted to this task once the team is set. (my pcs)
