What if all the Large Hadron Collider's recent woes are more than bad luck and technical problems? Two noted physicists speculate that the future may be pushing back on the LHC to avert the disaster of observing the Higgs boson.

The quest to observe the Higgs boson has certainly been plagued by its share of troubles, from the cancellation of the Superconducting Supercollider in 1993 to the Large Hadron Collider's streak of technical troubles.

Well that was entertaining. Seemingly pages taken right out of a Hollywood sci-Fi movie scripts. They even bring the idea that God could be behind it's failure.

Other than that, it's clearly another waste of collective funds and the usual failures associated with those who tell us they know more than we could ever possibly hope to.

Fortunately this mess is almost over.

Entertaining indeed. And I'm in no way anyone that could be considered a "scientist". While there appears to be a few quotes from some other article that this one is referencing, it makes one wonder if there isnt something taken out of context somewhere along the line.

Assuming this is serious however it begs two questions
1) In order to even think seriously about their assertion, what do they know, that many others dont?

2) and the scarier.......What kind of mental deficients are working on this project?

Not detecting the Higgs Boson = epic fail.

While this is an interesting idea, if it is being sabotaged then the people doing it are pretty incompetent. Seems like you would want to stop it entirely rather than just delaying it over and over.
