This newest experimental reactor will be capable of producing 500 Megawatts of EXCESS Fusion Power for time periods of 1,000 seconds; a substantial improvement from current designs and essentially one step away from commercialization.

ITER should produce 5 to 10 times more energy than that needed to ignite the fuel and sustain the reaction. The reactor will be built in France and the name is Latin for "journey".
