Thanks! Actually I don't live in LA, I grew up there, and moved to NorCal.

And if it shortens my life by 5 years, at least it's the end years

Oh and if you could - please get my 5 years BACK from Seattle that it sucked away? I'm a bit more upset about how I lost 5 years of my life there.

I could find nothing that suggested that LA is even in the top 10 of most polluted world cities, and nothing that suggested that it's the most polluted in the US.
Don't get me wrong, I hate LA. Certainly it's polluted, and has way too many freeway lanes and shallow people, but if you're going to make some kind of statement of fact, back it up with data:

There are some pretty polluted cities in the world. I would not think LA would be one of them. Additionally, the prevailing winds are coming off the ocean. HOWEVER, as you go inland the pollution is terrible. Whenever I drive up 15 I look at the valley to the west and see a dark thick smog. I can't imagine anyone living in that.

However, LA weather has nothing to do with the areas I'm looking into. Weather is a factor for me, but just one of many. Like I've said, I grew up in weather that was pretty nasty in the winter, and often had short and rainy summers too. Weather is just one of those things you must experience yourself. For instance, my current town gets freaking hot in the summer. It's downright maddening to me. Yet, some people have no problem with it.

I'm more concerned with Seattle at the moment though.

Remlinger Farms is lots of fun for toddlers in the Fall. They have rides, a train, hay maze, the kids can pick pumpkins plus they make fresh pies from the produce.

For older kids, the Seattle Underground Tour is a lot of fun: UNDERGROUND TOUR

Yes - Remlinger for toddlers and kids alike! Also gets you out of the city into the beautiful country surrounding Seattle. So amazingly gorgeous out there. Go in the summer and do the U Pick at Remlinger. Raspberries as big as you've ever seen them!

I think we'll have no problem keeping the little one busy up there. My son has had a blast every time up there. We did another scouting trip in May. We've pretty much zeroed in on Magnolia. We'll rent for a year and check some other areas out while living up there. We're about 90% decided on moving to Seattle.
