Considering moving to Seattle, Washington by the end of this year. Is it a good place to live. Young, black educated female and I was looking for somewhere thats nice, family oriented, middle class with a mixed population. Is Seattle a good choice for me?

From my brief observation (just moved here a week ago), there doesn't seem to be a big black population... but that's not to say you won't be accepted, or looked at the same as every other race. I guess it depends how important it is for you to be apart of a community that's black *shrug*

That being said, Seattle is very diverse and open-minded when it comes to cultural/racial differences. You'll have a good ole time.

Seattle is one of the most accepting and tolerant places anywhere. I think it's one of America's best kept secrets. I think you will like it.
