I'm working with the editor of a national automotive publication, and an upcoming issue will focus on historic Buick dealership architecture.

As recently as the late-1990's, the now-defunct Huling Bros. Buick dealership on Fauntleroy in West Seattle still wore huge, red neon "Buick" scripts on the facade, dating from the 1940's or 1950's. The dealership resisted corporate pressure to remove the vintage signage in favor of the modern sign standard.

I would love to locate any vintage photographs of this dealership structure, showing the Buick scripts on the facade.

Can anyone help? My e-mail is: brianL@americanconstco.com

Post your request on West Seattle Blog here:
West Seattle Blog...

I'm sure you'll get responses.

(The old Huling brothers abandoned car triangle is currently the center of considerable redevelopment controversy, and west Seattle's biggest eyesore.)

Good luck with your project.

Be sure to include the mug shots of the criminals who bilked people out of their life savings that caused Huling to close. In a sidebar.

Thank you for your replies, and I'll try the West Seattle Blog.

I have read about the criminal charges related to bilking customers. These problems arose after the Huling brothers sold the business to a dealership conglomerate during the early 2000's. I'm sure that the Hulings wished the new owners had changed the name of the business.
