Annoying?

There's the highfinious parkingus. Those things really sting! My BF sometime gets stung for $27 when he doesn't keep an eye on the clock.
Then the drunkious homelessmaximus, but they only poison themselves. And aside from the wild cougars roaming through the downtown area, it's a pretty safe place.

(joking - couldn't resist)

The most dangerous thing in Seattle are some of the evergreen trees. Some evergreen trees attack some people when nobody else is looking. One night, I almost was attacked by one and I had to run away

Seriously, other than that, Seattle really doesnt have dangerous living things(Remember trees are living things too!) and dangerous poisonous insects/animals like most areas of the USA. I even didnt see any roaches here since I moved here 4 months ago, even in spots that werent clean! I also didnt see things like mice and things like that niether. I didnt even see mosquitos yet, I think.

In Arizona, someone has to worry about scorpions, three different types of dangerous spiders, dangerous snakes etc. In Florida and Texas, dangerous fire ants, and huge flying roaches and in Florida, alligators too. Seattle is fortunate with this!

Some of the annoying animals can be some dogs that bark at someone when someone is going past a house, and sometimes the crow birds outside that can be loud sometimes. The crows are great though most of the time!

I really would love to have pet crows. http://mayo.personcounty.net/Bird%20...can%20Crow.jpg

The most annoying thing about the Northwest is when some people complain about some clouds in the sky or the rain that is falling. Clouds and rain can actually be great most of the time and its like most of those people forget that.

Probably brown recluses and black widows...just like anywhere. Only garter snakes west of the Cascades to my knowledge. Definitely rattlers east of it. Very small amount of mosquitos as well. You will get your fair share of bear and cougar sightings...

Coming from TX all of the above was a welcome relief.

I would have to agree with NUB that people complaining about the weather is the most annoying thing about the NW.

Woah, there are spiders like that in Western Washington?
Are there bears and cougers in the more wild nature areas of Western Washington?

I went to North Cascades National park for 2 days and 2 nights and Mount Rainier national park for 1 day and I didnt see any bears or cougers.

Yeah! Most of the time, the most depressing and annoying thing about the cloudier/rainier weather is when people people complain about it and talk about how depressing it is and its almost like they want others who dont feel the way to feel like they do about it. Some moments, super negative attitudes like that negatively affected my attitude about it.

Most of the time, though, I dont mind and can actually enjoy the cloudy/rainy weather. Actually, I wish Seattle got like 20 more inches of rain per year but with as much/or more sunshine and as much/or less clouds. Do you personally not mind the cloudier/rainier here, coming from Texas?

You might find bears (and cubs) on Capitol Hill.

Be glad you didn't run into any while hiking. My father keeps telling me to carry mace and an airhorn. Don't know how effective that would be.

A few months ago, someone on this forum posted a picture of a HUGE spider hiding behind a wall clock. People have also warned against aggressive slugs that will climb over cats. I would pay good money to see that happen! We're preparing for slug season - got some cleats so we won't slide down those steep sidewalks.

Clik clak, clik clak, clik clak.....
