I live near the old Circuit City store in Lynnwood, and when driving by the other day I saw a sign out front calling it the "Future Whole Foods Building". So I checked out Whole Foods' website, and sure enough they have Lynnwood as a location that is in development.

Finally those of us in the north end don't need to drive all the way down to Bellevue or north Seattle to shop there!

There goes the neighborhood.

Woohoo! Go Lynnwood! Now you too can experience the joy and "honor" of paying 9 dollars for a pound of ground beef!

Hey, wait a minute...

haha Yeah, definitely need to watch what you buy there. We only get certain things there, well aware that some items are over priced.

Is it worth it? I've never been in one because I've never had one in the neighborhood.

From the comments here, looks like it's expensive. Yet there might be a thing or 3 that they do best that's worth it (?)

I usually shop at Freddy's or Trader Joe's. I like J D's market too, since I grew up in India (much of that time in the Himalayas, hence my user name).

I love Whole Foods because its full of food porn. Beautiful produce displays and fancy foods. But for me, its a "special occasion" kind of place. If we're up for making a gourmet dinner at home, we'll get the ingredients there (and a nice Oregon Pinot).

I order my spices from Penzey's. They are truly a gourmet spice source, in my opinion--and that includes Indian spice mixes. Their prices are very reasonable, which might throw you off, as in "how can this be the best if they don't charge much?". Their curry spice mixes (and they had 12 last I checked) are right on and reasonable. Lest you might wonder, I have never been associated with them except as someone who orders their spices. I work for Fluke corporation.

Default Have you ever been to Wholefood?

Hey Xanathos, have you ever shopped at Wholefood? Ground beef price is far from being $9 dollars a pound. It was at $ 3.99 last week!

So many people criticize Wholefood prices even though they have never been to the store! I have the feeling that you are one of those!

You should do your homework before stating untrue comments.
