Hi,

I'll be clear across the country in your neck of the woods this week. What is there to do. We're pretty much open to anything! Not really looking to see any of the holiday stuff though. We're looking for things in both the Seattle area all the way up to Vancouver.

Thanks!

More details would be in order: Is this a family coming into town? Kids in tow? Old people in tow? An adult couple? et. c.

What touristy stuff do you have on your list so far? At least definitely check out Lenin and the troll.

What are you interested in doing???? Eating?? Clubbing? Hit up Yaletown in Vancouver. Only thing semi-fun in Seattle is Beltown. Hit up Amber or Twist.

Bro and I are taking a trip up. We're young, and just looking for something young professionals would like doing. No kids or old people. Just decided to take a relatively spontaneous trip. I mean we have Pike place/Space Needle/Underground Tour/Pioneer Square etc on the list. We're also looking for some events locals would know about.

He does bring up a good district in Belltown, though. But not for Amber or Twist. Shorty's is the place to go. It's truly unique.

Hit up a Showbox Market, or Jazz Alley, and there are other great places to see shows... go walk in the Arboretum, check out the parks: Carkeek park is great if you can get a clear day... Golden Gardens, The Ballard Locks, Seattle Aquarium (feeding times are best)... snoqualmie falls...
Lots of great food in Seattle. Depends what you like. Check out Monsoon on Capitol Hill.
hope that helps. Also the buses are free downtown.

OP: If you like to do the quirky little things that Seattle folk think is the best thing in the country but is typically viewed as mundane by everyone else in the U.S. then you will get plenty of advice here. Just head straight to Vancouver honestly.

Take a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island or go for a drive to Snoqualmie Falls. You can also walk around Pike Place Market in Seattle as well.

OP has some of the typical touristy stuff planned, no need to hash that stuff any further. As I said, Shorty's in Belltown is a great place to spend an evening. You should probably also head over to Bellevue if you have time/a car, because they have a number of things going on over there (including, I think, an outdoor ice rink, though I haven't found it).

You should try finding a Seattle event guide to see if there's something going on that weekend (there usually is). I'd link a couple, but I'm not sure if that's kosher on this site. You could head out to wine country for a few flights/tours - the Northwest is renowned for our Pinot. The Underground in Pioneer Square usually has pretty good comics on tap. You could head up north to Orcas Island and do some killer whale watching. There's a ton more, but since you're only here for 2 days, there's no way you'd be able to even get all this done. Pay no attention to Redline, you won't run out of things to do - this is the 12th biggest city in the entire friggin' country, for crying out loud, there's plenty to do here. It's not some sleepy little village.
