What % of people that live on Mercer Island actually live there year round? I ask because when I was there during the summer it looked like one of those places where people have summer homes and they go there during the summer. But some homes looked more residental so they could be year-round homes.

Maybe only a tiny percentage of folks live on Mercer Island summers only. Some homes there kind of do have this "summer home" look, but are lived in year round.
It WAS mostly a summer home only place, but that was a very long time ago, prior to the I-90 bridge being built, around 1940.

I live in Mercer Island and I don't know of a single residence in my little area that's seasonal residence. There's a drummer for a rock band that lives 4 houses down that's never home, but I assume he's touring. And there are a couple of Seahawks on my street that I haven't seen much of, but again, they're just on the road a lot.

I know of a couple seniors who are snow birds, and they live in warmer places like Arizona during the winter. Otherwise, I think it's kinda rare.
