So I have a bunch of computer parts, broken video game systems, monitors, dead batteries that need to be disposed of. I thought I'd take advantage of the many sprouting recycling companies out there but they all seem to charge a fee for disposal? I really don't want to pay $10 to dispose of a hard drive. If thats the case, snoho landfill will be getting it.

Any places to recycle electronics stuff without fees?

I am sure you can get rid of most of this stuff on freecycle or craiglist. There's always someone out there who's got a use for the stuff that is just waste for you...

Here in King County there are periodic Free Disposal events for electronics, most recently there was one about two weeks ago in Sammamish at a school.

Last I heard it is illegal to dump that kind of stuff on landfills. We have a 55 DLP, and the lamp in it has Mercury. Good suggestion about freecycle, someone will probably want it, repair it and then sell it; or salvage parts out if it.
