And why?, and how expensive is it ?
Our favorite is a fine little French restaurant in the Farmer's Market on the second floor, overlooking the market and westward over Eliott Bay and the Olympics. Price-wise, -not the most expensive. The name, -Chez Shea.
It never seems crowded, fine minu and personal attention.

I think my favorite is Geraldine's Counter. Amazing breakfast made from fantastically fresh ingredients. Not too pricey, and Gary, the co-owner is a doll.

V. =)

Flying Squirrel Pizza not far from Seward Park. Being from the northeast originally, I know good pizza. Flying Pizza is a bit expensive for pizza, but the pizza is great,the salads are great, the desserts are amazing. And there's good beer on tap. I like beer.

My favorite is El Mestizo near Swedish Hospital at First Hill because it is the only place in Seattle that I know of that serves decent, authentic Mexican food. Prices are moderate. There are a lot of truly awful Mexican restaurants in Seattle (i.e. passing off a piece of fried halibut in corn and flour mixed tortillas topped with red cabbage as "fish tacos") but El Mestizo would be considered a good Mexican restaurant by California and Arizona standards.

Al Boccalino. Great little Italian place on 1st and Yesler.

Tsukushinbo, awesome sushi and traditional Japanese food in the Int'l District, on Main st. $12-20 per person.

Thai Tom. Tiny little thai place that has heaps of oil but big on taste too. Cheap, like $5 to $7 at most. Be warned though. A guy I know who has metabolism like a nuke reactor ate there regularly for a few months and packed on the pounds.

Chocolati - it's a chocolate place in Wallingford. Think starbucks kinda pricing but infinitely better quality. Baristas are inconsistent though.

Salty's on Alki. Of course. Pricey though.

I don't want to advertise where I go for drinks because it's packed enough and don't want people flooding it ... doubt it would happen from a nobody posting on a random board, but you never know ...

I'm a big fan of Dahlia Lounge in Seattle and Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue.

I have paintings in the Afishionado Gallery next to Chinook's.
I believe Chinook's is owned by Anthony's Home Port. We've had great salmon at Anthony's.
