The Beacon Hill area crime rate is about double average for Seattle. That area around 14th is probably the safest on Beacon Hill, though, mostly just theft.

For me, the best part of North Beacon is east of Beacon Ave between around 16th and 19th, near the library and the light rail station. Parts of north Beacon Hill are a bit scuzzy, in particular the area near the Amazon building, just over the 12th Ave S ( Jose Rizal) bridge, so that skews the stats. If you remove those few blocks of scuzziness, North Beacon hill is about as safe as any other Seattle neighborhood, and quite nice.
