Funny thing, my childhood house in Wallingford is in a $800 area. Man, I wish my parents would've kept that house. I think they paid less than $10k for it.

Great site- thanks for the link. I enjoyed reading the blog. The map is a great visual on the unaffordability of Seattle for most of us.

What a total crock of BS this map is, conveniently cutting off at 80th when the city actually goes to 145th, same situation in the south end, which in both cases, no surprise, where the most affordable homes are.

Why do people spend their time making skewed maps like this, whining about how expensive the most expensive areas of Seattle are instead of just buying a fixer further out and doing your time like the rest of us?

Yes, this map is obviously a marketing tool for realtors. Complete BS. Plus, within each of these areas there is a wide variation of prices.
