Hi. Me and my husband (no kids, two dogs) have been living in Olympia for a couple months now. My husband said our next house can be wherever I want as long as he can have a yard. With that said, what are some good neighborhoods to pick from
? We're young, so we don't want to get stuck in an older neighborhood (no offense) because we are already in one (a lot of retirees). Nothing wrong w/ the older crowd- just not for us. Thanks guys and girls!!!

Your housing budget will largely determine the answer to your question, also more specifics about commute and other needs would be good too.

We are looking at no more than 600K for a house, close to downtown area in general. We were looking into Queen Anne, but don't know the area yet. Actually, we are going to drive up there tomorrow and check out neighborhoods. Thanks for the help Jenbar

You may want to check out the Greenwood area. It's near places like Greenlake, Ballard etc - but a bit closer to the freeway and less expensive. It's not close to downtown though.

I think of Capital Hill as hip. Or Fremont. Wallingford seems hip to me, but more "hip young family" than "hip scenester"...
