Check out C89.5. It's an electronic dance music radio channel run by high school students. DJ's do a live mix twice a day, once at lunch and the other at 5 PM, and on Thursdays they do a 80s throwback mix with a DJ whose name I forget and was spinning in clubs back in those days.

Big name DJ's regularly come to Seattle (Deadmau5 is coming soon, and Atari Teenage Riot will be coming to Bumbershoot, and I could list others, I think BT came recently). Seattle though does not have the pull of San Fran, LA, or even Vancouver, BC, and I think that is partially because this town is still seen as sort of a rock town instead of electronic music town. Seattle also isn't very kind to fringe electronic music, so usually what you hear is dub step, drum and bass, house, trance, techno, and other mainstream genres.

The station eskercurve mentions seems to have quite a variety. I may try to pitch a few of my songs to them. Seems appropiate given my group name LOL.

Anyway, Seattle is more of a rock town but dance music isn't as hard to find as it would be in San Diego for example. I'm way out of place here.

I think in the 90's there were at least one or two acts in the dance world that came out of Seattle.

It's not that there isn't a scene, it's just not as prevalent as the strong local indie music scene. I used to go to a good drum and bass night in Pioneer Square on Saturdays. There is a scene, you just have to look harder.

I know people who go to raves all the time. We got a better electronic radio station than any other city I've been to. I think the scene is sound enough.
