the wife and I will be in Seattle for a few days the middle of sept and are looking to enjoy our time seeing what we can. We would like to eat good, visit a few brew pubs or breweries and see as many sights as possible. Where should we be staying to be able to see the most without a lot of driving? We are taking a tour into Vancouver for a couple of days then have the rest of the week to enjoy Seattle. We need to book a hotel room and would like to get the most bang from being close to a lot of variety in our surrounding.

Thanks

The downtown area sounds like your best bet-there are numerous hotels in downtown seattle where you will not need a car- also the quick shuttle leaves from a hotel near the space needle (a bus that goes to vancouver from seattle) Vancouver, Seattle Bus Transportation. So you can take that bus to vancouver and return back to seattle if u want. you will not need a car for either city
