Again, WA gas prices are high due to the high gas tax. Another example of how WA does not tax your income, but does tax about everything else to make up for it.

I saw it for $4.29 out near the mall today here in Bellingham. I don't normally go to that side of town and at the station closest to me in Fairhaven it's $4.19. It's a good time to not own a car.

I know we have higher gas taxes here, but they didn't go up sharply in the last month- they are not the cause of the rapid rise during this time.

I'd rather have a higher gas tax than state income tax though. This way, you are only paying for what you consume. Many people don't drive much or have very fuel efficient cars.

Of course you do. Its a regressive tax like the rest of the tax code in this state. Tax the poor first.

If you are in U District you might pay 4.20$ for regular. I would stay in the city, traffic can be brutal. I think you can find good place for 1200$.

I live here and commute by ferry. I don't have to drive and hardly ever buy gas. It's an option!
