Can't you set up an autofeeder for them, Cinebar? That way you could let them stuff themselves until it's time for you to stuff them.

Well, I could - but I would have to have the food to put in it.

I do have hanging feeders in the chicken coop that I really should be using but the coop is downhill from the house/driveway and it gets pretty slippery, so I've just been feeding them out here in my driveway (in feed pans) for now.

I have way too many ducks. Someone is supposed to come by to buy some - then someone else will be eating them, not me. The breed I have (Muscovy) are very friendly and most of them will eat right out of my hand so I haven't been able to eat them myself. And when they do leave here, I like to think they are really going to someone who will keep them for pets. And that is the case a lot of the time.

As for weather - I got out of here yesterday (so I could buy chicken and duck food, as well as goat, dog, and cat). I still had snow on the ground when I went to bed last night but most of it was gone when I got up. Still a little bit here and there.

Mostly just wet now. And it doesn't look like we'll be seeing much sun anytime soon.

Snowed here overnight.

Not much, but enough for me to go, "ugh, not again."

One of my sons and his daughters live in Clark County and we meet up at a halfway point every couple of months so we can spend some time together. We're supposed to meet up tomorrow and I hope there's no weather-related complications. I've had to cancel once or twice already because of snow and I'm not going to be very happy if it happens again tomorrow.

It's been snowing pretty heavy in QA for the past hour or so. Mostly wet, but it's starting to stick a bit now.

Same here in the "South Sound" area, but the snow has stopped.
Here's a quirky fact from Weather.com this morning:
While it was 60º and sunny, headed for 74º later in FARGO,NORTH DAKOTA this morning, it was 34º, snowing, and headed for 45º in normally mild, temperate Western Washington...

It's not so bad that you can't work in the garden. We only have less than an inch here. Kind of fun to be out in it. Just wear a hood!

I'm in Redmond where it's not snowing. I'm jealous because I love taking walks in the snow!
