The rain, gloom, and more importantly....the overhyped reputation of the rain and gloom are probably the only reason it isn't the Bay Area Part II. As depressing as the clouds may be, someone living there now wouldn't recognize the place in 20 years if the weather suddenly made a turn for the better.
Spot on. Sorry I can't rep you

If you really are commenting on Seattle's growth, you should study the facts. Seattle, the city, lost population even further after 1960, and has rebounded quite nicely. More importantly, the metro population has grown at a steady rate since 1960. You can spin this anyway you want, but please observe the facts. The Seattle population has been growing for the past 20-30 years, both in city and metro.

It was a nice weekend down here - Saturday a little sunnier and warmer than yesterday - but it stayed dry until early last evening, when it started raining.

Woke up to blue skies and broken clouds this morning. Not terribly warm but not raining (yay!).

It's supposed to be a pretty wet week, BUT.........

WAIT FOR IT..........

HERE IT COMES..........

The weather dude last night said that the "models" (whatever those are) are showing a drier than normal spring, starting the first week of April.

Of course, that can all go to hell in a handbasket pretty quickly, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that those "models" know what they're talking about.

Yea, it was nice and sunny, partly cloudy. I'd give it a plus.

It came a little later than the weather man was anticipating. I was actually sleeping all day anyway. It did start last night though about the time I arrived to work (11pm).

BTW the "models" also show, according to the Q13 weatherman, also show a drier and warmer than usual summer. Although I recall that also being said for last year, and it didn't come true, so we'll see what happens this year!

LOL

No kidding about the "we'll see" thing.

I listened a little more closely when the weather man was talking about it again yesterday, and I guess it's all tied in with El Nina' ending. He said that although it will be a drier spring, temperatures will be below normal. Which is fine with me - I can live with a slightly cooler spring in exchange for less rain!

I hadn't heard that yet about the summer.

...
I think those models might be the large-breasted weatherladies on other channels.
