Light rain here.

And I had to do something I haven't done in a long time - milk the goat in the rain.

I'm already sick of it.

They are predicting heavy rain Sunday into Monday, with high winds. Sounds like it's time to batten down the hatches - make sure I have water jugs (if I lose power, I also lose my well) and kerosene and new wicks for the lamps. I've got lots of firewood but don't think it will be cold enough to have to have a fire anyway.

Very wet here today.

I probably shouldn't live in the Pacific Northwest - at least on this side of the mountains - because I really, really like the sun.

I would have been perfectly happy if the weather we've had for the last several months would have continued indefinitely.

But you know, we were happy in those days, though we were poor.

Because we were poor. My old Dad used to say to me, "Money doesn't buy you happiness, son".
