Hi folks. I have been browsing this website for a couple of days now, what a great resource!

My family and I will be relocating to Seattle in a couple of months and I have a million questions. To start with; what is the best way to find an apartment? Should I look at Craigslist? Ask a real estate agent? Are there any websites that are good resources? We plan to rent.

My criteria includes:

Budget up to $2600 per month for a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment/house/townhouse (not sure how realistic that is?)
Safe neighbourhood, family friendly
Newish place, clean (I really like hardwood floors, do many rentals have that?)

Any recommendations for where to look? So far we have Bellevue on our list and that's about it!

Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of newer apartments in the downtown Bellevue area in your price range, but the better one will be 2 BR for that amount. If you walk or drive around they will have signs, but google "Bellevue apartments" because they all have elaborate websites. Since this is Microsoft & Amazon country
everything you want is to find is on-line. Finding 3 BR is hard.
