Default Maple Valley Schools

Hi,
I don't know if you are still looking for information on Maple Valley, but I moved here from Redmond almost 10 years ago for the same reason you are considering, much more home for the money. I can tell you that everything is 30-40 minutes away (Seattle, Bellevue, Issaquah). My husband worked for MSFT and now works in Seattle. He has learned to time the commute and it is really not that bad. We love Maple Valley and have a son attending Glacier Park Elementary School. They have continually been recognized for national awards, have very active parent involvement in the school, and many extra curricular activities/sports even at the elementary level. There are also many sports programs in Maple Valley for children, including a very active soccer league which includes a league for children with special needs. Fred Meyer is scheduled to open here in May, 2 Starbucks, Burger King coming, new restaurants also opening in the next couple of months. If you have questions about Maple Valley or any neighborhoods, just let me know, glad to help!
