I currently reside in Denver,CO and have been discussing relocating to Seattle with my wife. I spent 8 years in Nashville playing music as a side man doing live and studio work. I do music for tv shows, jingles and tv shows as well as composing my own music. The resources for a musician are very limited here in Denver. Los Angeles has been discussed, but I lived there for a couple of years while attending music school and is not the lifestyle I desire. I have had a frustrating time in Denver finding steady live work and there is not a studio scene to speak of. There has been the occasional tour here and there, but nothing consistant. I have spent time and toured in Seattle and around Washington state. My impression was that it had a very diverse music scene and the people seemed open to music of all styles. My question I guess is what are your impressions of the Seattle area music scene, areas of town that are affordable or least a good place to start. I was also curious about any experiences of any full time musician good or bad. I am aware of Seattle's weather and this doesn't bother me considering the large amount of snow and the length of winters in Denver. Thanks and any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I have a included a link to my music for those who might be curious. Thanks, Jason
