Can anyone offer some advice for an initial phone interview for a non tech position?

I've never had a phone screen but had the option but opted for the HireVue digital interview instead. Though from my experience the initial interview usually is a screening about your background/past experience, personality type questions, and a situational question. For my initial interview there was a math question involved as well. So not sure if they would give you one for an HR position but its something to consider and you can always contact your recruiter before the interview to inquire about what type of questions may be asked.

I have 2 friends who were just hired on there and both are having great experiences! Definitely a very progressive company.

Hi,

I just accepted an offer at Amazon and have two questions.

1. Do the movers pack everything and unpack or do I have to pack?

2. How long does the background check take?

Thanks in advance!

Hi.

I have an online technical interview with Amazon for Software Developer job. It is done with hirevue website. Have anybody had the experience? Do they keep recording me via WebCame for the test?

Thanks.

Me too!

The package includes pack/unpack services.
I have been told up to 6 weeks, but I'm in the same boat as you. Still going through the process.

A local TV station (Seattle) recently did a story where they quoted Amazon sources as saying it HAS hurt recruiting. It was probably King 5 the NBC affiliate as that's what I watch usually, so you may be able to find the story. It was within 2 weeks, probably less.
