mostly information security questions (TCP/IP, Application Security, Web App Security). I flubbed on one or two of them which looking back was verryy novice mistake on my part. The recruiters were great after some prodding.

That greatly varies from team to team.
My husband started last year as an SDE 1, and his salary was 100K + signing bonus + RSU's.
Second year bumped him to SDE II. His salary is now 110K + 2nd year signing bonus.

Anyone have any good insights into Amazon? I hear it's intensely stressful. I'm not a SDE (I'm in IT Security) so no programming worries here. I'm originally from the Seattle area, and would love to move back.

Edit - I wanted to add that I'm totally excited about the interview and the chance to work at a fast-paced company. One of the major problems in the position I'm in now, is that even though it's a Senior-level position it's insanely boring. There is no challenge or thought process involved in the day to day job. I think the previous paragraph might have seemed that I was apprehensive about Amazon, which I'm not.

Hi Verio,

I got an email asking for good interview dates on Friday 4/4/2014. I replied to the email that day itself, but I haven't heard back from them yet. You said you faced a similar issue. After how many days did they reply to your email? I am worried that they wont reply

Regards,
Priya Dhumal

From another region?
You mean someone who works for Amazon already, just in a different area? Or someone who doesn't live in the PNW?

I'm sorry,I should clarify
I meant to say, How often does Amazon corporate hire those from other regions in the US(I am from nyc)?

Also, How often does Amazon amazon hire entry-mid level prospects(I have about 2 years worth of experience with only a Bachelor's degree)
