Agreed, I'd prefer my curry-coconut without the curry, but I'm sure she could go with the more normal combinations. Salted caramel anything is popular right now, I love that stuff.

Do a search on Seattle art posters and you'll find some very cool stuff.

I wouldn't go crazy and buy 20 different things, she's 10..Next year she might be infatuated with Boston or San Francisco.

Sounds like a cool kid tho'. She'll have a travelers spirit when she's older.

Buy her Amazon.com: The Stranger Beside Me: Revised and Updated Edition (9780451164933): Ann Rule: Books, Green River,Running Red: Ann Rule: Amazon.com: Books, or Predator: Rape,Madness,And Injustice In Seattle: Jack Olsen: 9780385299350: Amazon.com: Books.

Another good Green River Killer book is Amazon.com: The Search for the Green River Killer (9780451212382): Carlton Smith, Tomas Guillen: Books

Those books should cure her of her Seattle obsession.

Serial killers George Russell, Ken Bianchi, and Robert Yates also operated in the Puget Sound region and are currently serving life, and death sentences in WSP, Walla Walla.

If that doesn't work - just buy her a UW sweatshirt - Purple and Gold and the Dawgs never go out of style.

A tshirt from the Greenwood Space Travel Supply store, or a DVD of the film Singles would be my picks.

How about buying her and yourself a ticket to Seattle so she can visit the city herself? If my mom bought me that when I was 10 and if I loved another city like that, that would have been amazing. Then she can go and pick out Seattle souvenirs herself!

Before we moved here my husband sent our kids Top Pot Doughnut T-shirts. They were a big hit with my girls (10 and 12) as well as their friends. We have had a lot of requests to send shirts back to friends in Georgia. I know its kind of odd and the shirts are nothing special but for some reason they were a big hit.

Well since it was 20 years ago, she wouldn't see anything more shocking than she would on prime time TV these days. And if she's obsessed with Seattle at that age, there's a good chance it's a generational thing and the side of Seattle she is so enamored with is 1990s Seattle which could for her purposes be summed up with that movie.

Only a suggestion take it or leave it Everybody's different, my nieces favorite movie when they were 5 and 9 years old was The Hangover.

I love Singles, but I don't think a 10 year old would get it. Or appreciate it.
