Hi,
We are a large family, only 4 kids so not Duggars (yet...Anyway, the only thing I hear about SEA is the cloudy days and that its very liberal. I am just concerned that large families may be frowned upon as it "seems" to be a conservative thing.
Where would be a nice area to find a rental home, would like to stay under 1600/month 3-4 BR. THANK YOU!!!

Western WA is as blue as Blue States get. East of the Cascades like Spokane might be better for y'all.

I don't know any liberals who would hate large families. This is Seattle, not San Francisco.

All of Seattle has varying levels of "nice." You're going to have to be more specific.

You have four kids, so I'm assuming nice schools are a requirement. That would mean north Seattle and most of the suburbs to the north and east.

To be honest $1600 / month doesn't get you a lot in the city. I found a grand total of 3 houses listed online on some websites. Here's one I think you should look at: 3bd/1ba Seattle Home Home - Rentals

Other than that, you have to cruise craigslist to find rental homes, or rent an apartment. Good luck!

I know many folks with large families and I don't think they are looked down upon at all. I never thought of it in fact but I don't technically live IN Seattle so I can't speak for them. I also moved here from TX and am politically more conservative but like most things in life, if you are respectful of others' opinions, they will be respectful of yours. Always exceptions to the rule on both sides of the fence. I don't have any political issues being here...I rather enjoy the ballot measures proposed here as they are very different than what you see in TX and it causes me to really have to think through why I believe what I believe. All in all, I am a very happy conservative in a traditionally liberal city.

We homeschool our kids, schools are not important. We need at least a 4 BR home. I have seen a few BEAUTIFUL homes/properties in Port Orchard, but that seems like a difficult commute. I have found several homes in different areas. My concern is crime, a nice area without heavy crime. By the way we are libertarians

Well then it sounds like you'll want to locate near the trains, because you won't find anything large enough for a reasonable price closer in.

Leftist progressive Eurosocialist.
