I registered when I switched my driver's license and got something in the mail saying that my ballot would be mailed to me. Is all voting done by mail here? How do you find out what voting precinct you're in?

Yep, voting is done by mail. You can look at: City Precinct Maps - Election Reference Maps - King County Elections to see what precint you're in.

Yes voting is all mail. You should get a ballot and voter guide in the mail (I already received my voter guide). Put the ballot into the inner envelope, put the inner into the outer envelope, sign it, put a stamp on it, and mail it. There's a little tear-off strip that gives a code that you can use to track your ballot, to make sure that it was received and counted.

There are also drop off boxes, where you can drop off your ballot if you don't have a stamp. There's one at Issaquah city hall and Crossroads Mall in Bellevue.

There also are 'Accesible voting centers' where you can vote in person if you wish.

You can call 206-296-VOTE with any questions. I've called them once or twice and found them to be helpful.

They switched to all-mail in 2011 to save the counties money, and since there was a shortage of poll workers. The only bad effect I have seen is the delay in getting results.

I liked how in Oregon they required the ballots to be received by election day. Sure it puts a crunch on some people, but I hate waiting days for the official results after the election is well over.

OP, on your voter registration card they will list all of your precints, districts, etc.

This really awesome. LA had this for at least 2011 (maybe before, who knows) and it made it super easy to vote especially for people like me, paid by the hour when going in person really becomes quite tricky/expensive.
