Can't say I've been to dozens of places in Seattle, but one place I've gone to is Pam's Kitchen on University Way NE. The place specializes in Trinidadian food. I liked what I had there.

Beecher's Cheese (@ Pike as well) - damn good cheeses, paninis, mac & cheese, you name it.
Beecher's has mac and cheese that's out of this world, 50,000 calories a plate incredibly delicious.

Okay... I'm working out, running and doing a ton of exercise before I visit Seattle so I don't gain 400 pounds while I'm there. All of these restaurants sound amazing! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the suggestions!

For atmosphere check out the Roanoke Inn on Mercer Island. It's a hole in the wall that islanders love.

My very favorite breakfast place is Geraldine's Counter. Amazing French toast and pancakes, and the Geraldine's Casserole is to die for!! Oh, and their biscuits are amazing!!

For more traditional comfort food breakfast, we love CJ's.

I'm from CA, but my favorite street tacos are from La Venadita. Their carne asada nachos are amazing, too!

My husband says the best Thai Food he's ever had has come from Mae Phim.

We have 3 kids, and I've taken them to all of those except Mae Phim (because I personally don't like Thai, so my hubby used to go for lunch).

V. =)

I like CJs a lot too. Their omelettes are either the best in Seattle or tied with Voula's Offshore Cafe (N.
Lake Union, sort of under the University Bridge, not far from Ivar's Salmon House). CJs also has mouth watering blueberry pancakes....Jack's Fish Spot in the Pike Place market makes an awesome cioppino, and a few counter stools to dine at.
