amazon has also expanded so there are some buildings that are not in SLU and more downtown (south of denny) where it is walking distance to convention place so if he is in one of those buildings, he won't have to wait for the shuttle. in addition, they are going to start building a lot more buildings south of denny as well.

btw, the convention place transit center is south of amazon and SLU but doesn't change your valid point anyway.

Thanks to all for the info. Still looking and now am thinking we may live in lower Kirkland, upper Bellevue area. There are some fabulous rental homes there for the same prices as the dumps I am finding down by I90. Rental prices went up since we left 3 years ago so I am having a hard time dumping money into a rental but we need to rent first tofigure things out again!

cool. i am also considering doing the same...renting in lower kirkland / upper bellevue.

perhaps we're in competition for the same places.

but one minor annoyance is that all of these places are available right now (meaning that they want you to sign a lease agreement and move in immediately) when i don't actually need a place until the end of next month. i suppose i can wait a month and then look but it just seems a little unnerving for the planner in me to look for a house a week before i need to move out of this one, etc.

...or of course i can pay double rent for the next 6 weeks but i'd rather not.

anyway, good luck.

RVD.
