I know Seattle really well. Grew up in the area. But I moved away for college so I'm not an expert on nightlife since most of my time in Seattle was pre-21. When I visit Seattle my friends and I usually hit up Capitol Hill for bars.

I got a bachelor party I'm throwing for my good friend. It's low key and inexpensive and the groom doesn't want strippers or anything sketchy like that. We got a hotel downtown and we want to bar hop but my concern is that nothing will be happening on a Thursday night. I'm always drinking in Seattle on Fridays or Saturdays.

Things to know:

We're all between 25 and 35. We all like to drink a lot. We love all kinds of beer. We're not going to be into the club scene and we're not looking to go out and dance.

I'm looking for places that won't be dead on a Thursday night where we can drink a bunch of good beer, maybe some pool, a place that doesn't feel like a dead dive bar but also isn't a rowdy, loud college bar.

Anywhere downtown, Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, basically within a short cab ride or walk from downtown where our hotel is.

Suggestions?

Other than Capitol Hill (and Capitol Hill isn't exactly bachelor party material), the only other place I'd imagine would be bustling on a Thursday night would be Belltown. But it can get kinda ghetto fabulous sometimes, so I don't know if you guys would want that. I personally think the clubbing & bar choices in Seattle suck.

I kind of do too. I think it's a combination of terrible public transportation and 1:30am last calls... But that's what we have to work with this time.

Any cool bars in Belltown with pool, darts, any other games and good beer variety?

Is Belltown Billiards still around? Too bad you're not staying in Bellevue - I'd recommend The Parlour, Lucky Strike, Paddy Coyne's, Earl's and Joey's.

Well downtown Bellevue was our haunt all throughout high school and college even more than Seattle since we grew up on the east side. We've been to those places you listed more times than I can count so it's nice for us to go to some places we haven't been and that's more likely, but still difficult, in Seattle. Thanks though!

Belltown Pub sounds good!

Fremont or Ballard. Good mix of dives and 'hip' bars, all walking distance from one another.

Don't suppose you watched The Layover on Travel Channel last night, did you? Some cool bars highlighted included Rob Roy, Unicorn and Canon.

Oh damn! I love Anthony Bourdain and I would love to see a Seattle episode. I'm pissed I missed it. I'll try to find it again and record it. I'll look into Rob Roy and Canon. I've been to Unicorn. In fact that is where I rang in the New Year with my friends. Crazy place with crazy decor. Feels like a carnival/circus.
