In doing some research, it looks like there is no "regular" public transport from the Eastside to UW. There is public transport within the Eastside, and there is some sort of reserved transport into the downtown area? Am I missing something?

There are quite a few routes going to or near the UW campus from the eastside. Where exactly are you referring to? One of the most popular serving Kirkland is the ST 540 -click for schedule- and -click for map-

Another very popular one serving Bellevue is MT 271 -click for schedule- and -click for map-

Let us know where you're starting from and I'll look up schedules for MT and ST routes if you'd like. There are a few MT and ST routes that go right to and inside the campus and also many that stop at the Montlake Express Stop on 520.

Thanks so much- I don't know why I couldn't find any when searching the public transportation pages online. I wasn't able to find any regular public transit going over the bridge. We have the possibility of a living situation on the Eastside, which we had not previously considered (we were focusing on North). As I will be commuting to the UW campus, I wanted to check into transportation possibilities.

I've been fooling around with the two websites so I'll post what I find later today so you'll have most of the ST and MT routes that go to the UW area or the Montlake Freeway Stop from the eastside. Yeah, you should have good service from most of the eastside to the UW and many students, faculty, and UW employees use transit so you'll be in good company.
